Triple Decker Toy Bus Information:
Like we mentioned above, the Lego Harry Potter range gets larger and larger as time goes on. And in this year of 2019, we are treated to another incarnation of an old favorite- the knight bus 75957.
To be accurate, this is the third reproduction of the purple triple decker toy bus produced in Lego form. The first incarnation made it's appearance in 2004, followed by the next one in 2011. There was also a miniature version that came in a poly bag. But in our opinion, the 2019 model is our favorite.
If you look at the purple colored knight bus in the movie, this latest model is a better color match. Not only that, but the overall look seems to be a better representation. And both inside and out have been nicely finished off.
If we start at the top of the triple decker toy bus, which is level 3. The top of the bus can be lifted off, were there is a storage place to keep Harry's trunk. Inside there is a potion, a chocolate bar and a letter. You can also see a plinth, on which rests a copy of The Daily Prophet.
When you remove the top section of the knight bus, there is a seating area for Harry. And just like in the film, there is the swinging chandelier. If you look at the side of the bus, there is a removable panel. This will give you full access to the bottom two sections.
Harry Potter Triple Decker Toy Bus:
On the bottom deck of the knight bus 75957 building kit, there is a bed that also moves around. Ernie the bus driver as a swivel out chair that he sits on. He also has a steering wheel and a lever, but most importantly, the shrunken head.
In this Lego 75957 building kit, you have three mini-figures. Harry Potter who has a wand, Stan Shunpike who wears a hat and Ernie Prang with the bald head.
There are also 6 stickers that have been used to decorate the triple decker toy bus. On the front of the bus it says – the knight bus. and two fit lower down on the grill. The – all destinations – signs are fitted to the side and back of the bus. And the other sticker is inside which advertises the Daily Prophet.
It will take you about 1 hour to build the knight bus, depending on your level of expertise. You might enjoy fitting the chandelier and bed, along with the 28 window placements.
One of the memorable features is reminiscent of the old double decker buses. This is a pole that will assist you in getting on and off the bus. In the old days, you could hang on to this and jump off the bus before it stopped. But these days buses have closed doors.
